Use multiple locations when you separate showroom and main store, or operate more than one storage site.

Movements and counts
Purchases, sales, and stock counts must reference the correct warehouse. Count the location you are physically auditing.
Avoid variances
Do not move stock between locations outside the system if you rely on quantity reports.
Tip: Start with one warehouse if operations are simple—multi-location only helps when you run it daily.
